Terms of Service

1. About the Service

DeadlineSafe Drivers (“Service”) is a subscription service operated by Pepper and Pepper Inc (“we”, “us”) that monitors publicly available parking, camera, and traffic violation records associated with license plates you have registered with us, and sends you alerts when new records are published.

2. Not a law firm

DeadlineSafe Drivers is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. Alerts, summaries, and educational content provided through the Service are for informational purposes only. If you need legal advice about a ticket, hearing, or enforcement action, consult a licensed attorney in your jurisdiction.

If we later offer a marketplace where users can connect with licensed attorneys to dispute tickets, legal services will be provided directly by those independent, licensed attorneys and not by DeadlineSafe Drivers.

3. Eligibility and account

You must be 18 or older. By registering a license plate you represent and warrant that you are the owner of the vehicle or an authorized operator of it. We may remove a plate at our discretion if we receive a credible complaint that you lack authority to monitor it.

4. Subscription and billing

Paid plans are billed in advance monthly or annually, in U.S. dollars, through Stripe. Free trials do not require a credit card and convert to the free tier unless you upgrade. All fees are non-refundable except where required by law or as otherwise stated.

Auto-renewal: subscriptions automatically renew until canceled. You may cancel at any time from the billing portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

5. Alerts and notifications

You consent to receive transactional emails about your account and monitored plates. If you have connected Telegram, you may disable those alerts at any time in settings by unlinking.

6. Data sources and accuracy

The Service relies on publicly available data published by government agencies, including the New York City Department of Finance, the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency, and (later) other cities. Data published through these sources may be delayed, incomplete, or occasionally incorrect. We are not responsible for penalties or consequences arising from such delays or errors. Always verify outstanding balances on the official government portal before making payment.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to: (a) register plates you have no authority to monitor; (b) attempt to scrape or reverse-engineer the Service; (c) use the Service to harass, stalk, or harm any person; (d) attempt to access another user’s account; (e) bypass rate limits or abuse experimental endpoints.

8. Money-back and dispute tier

If we later offer a dispute marketplace, specific refund conditions will apply and will be presented at the time of the transaction. A “money-back” promise, if offered, will not include payment-processing fees.

9. Warranty disclaimer

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. WE DISCLAIM ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE SIX MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES.

11. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time. We may terminate your account if you breach these Terms or abuse the Service.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified by email at least 14 days before they take effect.
