Privacy Policy
1. What we collect
- Account info: email, optional name, optional phone number, preferred language, notification preferences.
- Plate info: license plate, state, optional VIN, optional TLC license number, ownership attestation (timestamp and IP at time of attestation).
- Violation data: what we pull from public government sources about your monitored plate.
- Technical data: IP address, browser, referrer, pages viewed.
- Billing data: handled by Stripe; we store only a customer ID and subscription state.
2. How we use it
We use your data to operate the monitoring Service: polling public records, sending alerts to channels you opted into, processing payments, and supporting you when you contact us. We do not sell personal data.

4. Data retention
Active accounts: data retained for the life of the account. Canceled accounts: we delete account-identifying data within 90 days unless retention is legally required. Anonymous aggregated statistics may be retained indefinitely.
5. California residents (CCPA / CPRA)
Californians have the right to know what data we collect, to request deletion, and to opt out of sale/sharing. We do not sell or share personal data for behavioral advertising. Requests: hello@deadlinesafe.com.
6. Security
We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), encryption at rest for the database, hashed session tokens, and the principle of least privilege on database roles.
7. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors.
8. Changes
Material changes will be announced by email at least 14 days before taking effect.
